Privacy Policy
Introduction
At MedicareLakeland.com, we understand that the process of selecting a Medicare Plan for an individual beneficiary or his/her family member is a very personal one. Our goal at MedicareLakeland.com is to protect your privacy while ensuring that you are offered useful and comprehensive information to help you make an informed decision. At MedicareLakeland.com, we also understand that relationships are built on trust and reputation. MedicareLakeland.com wants to make sure that MedicareLakeland.com clearly discloses to you the kind of information our MedicareLakeland.com may collect and what MedicareLakeland.com does with that information.
What personal data do we collect and why we collect it?
Personally Identifiable Information. The MedicareLakeland.com website (the “Site”) collects two kinds of information that relate to you. The first, and most important to you, is information that is personally identifiable to you. This is information like your name, telephone number, email address, and home address. We do not collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) unless you decide to provide us with it. To be clear, you are never required to provide us with Personal Information but not all of the services we offer will be available to you without that information. For example, we will ask for your contact information if you have requested us to send you information about certain plans or services. Personal Information also includes information on your health. However, we do NOT ask for and do NOT collect Medical Records from you. Those records remain between you and your doctor.
If at any time you would like to review or update the Personal Information we have collected about you, please contact us and we will arrange for you to do so. While you work with us, you remain in control of all of your personal information at all times. Aggregated Information. As is true of most websites, MedicareLakeland.com also collects anonymous technical and statistical information when you visit our Site. This type of information may include items such as your IP (Internet Protocol) address, Internet service provider, operating system, type of browser, and the pages or sections you visit on the Site (“Non-Personal Information”). This type of Non-Personal Information is collected in various ways, but the primary methods we use are (i) cookies, which are little pieces of code that allow us to recognize you when you visit our Site, (ii) web beacons (or gifs) which allow us to see how you use our Site, and to know whether you have visited a web page or received or opened an email message, and (iii) standard Internet tracking tools to collect information like service provider IP addresses, browser versions, referring websites, search terms used, the average number of pages requested, the average duration of visit, and/or total visitor traffic. Most Non-Personal Information is stored in what are often referred to as log files.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year or longer. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. Your Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights do you have over your data?
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
